FAQ
Straight answers, including the awkward ones
Everything below is what we would tell you on a call. If your question is not here, ask it — we will add the answer.
Working together
With a 30-minute call, then almost always a discovery sprint. Discovery is a fixed fee, produces artefacts you own regardless of what happens next, and is credited against a delivery contract that starts within 90 days.
Funded scale-ups through to listed enterprises. The common factor is that software is core to how the business operates, not a side project. Our smallest engagements run around €45,000; our largest are multi-year programmes.
Frequently. We embed into your rituals, use your repositories, and review each other's pull requests. Several clients use us specifically to raise the delivery capability of their own team.
Teams operate from India, the UK, Singapore and the US. Every engagement guarantees at least four hours of overlap with your working day, and we agree that window before we start.
Pricing & contracts
Three models: fixed-fee discovery, a monthly dedicated squad rate, or fixed-scope milestones once discovery has established what is being built. We will tell you which fits your situation, including when that is the cheaper option for you.
Yes, after discovery. Quoting a fixed price on an unclear scope produces either a padded number or a project that fails, and neither serves you well.
Monthly in arrears for squads, milestone-based for fixed scope. Net 30 as standard. We invoice in EUR, GBP, USD, SGD or INR.
Dedicated squads have a three-month minimum with one month's notice thereafter. Discovery and audits have no ongoing commitment at all.
Delivery & quality
Every increment ends on a live environment you can use, plus a demo. You have access to the board, the repository and the team channel throughout — there is no reporting layer between you and the people building.
On squad engagements you simply re-prioritise the backlog; there is no change-request process. On fixed-scope work, changes are quoted transparently against the agreed baseline.
Mandatory code review, automated tests, performance budgets and accessibility gates enforced in CI, and DORA metrics tracked per team. These are pipeline gates, not aspirations.
You hear about it from us first. We hold weekly delivery health reviews internally, and anything amber is raised with you in that week rather than at the milestone.
Ownership & security
You do. Source code, infrastructure definitions, designs and documentation are assigned to you on payment. We use no proprietary runtime and charge no licence fees.
Least-privilege access, no production data in development environments, encryption in transit and at rest, and a signed DPA before any access is granted. EU and India data residency options are available.
ISO 27001 certified since 2021 and SOC 2 Type II audited annually. Reports are available under NDA.
A structured handover: documentation, runbooks, architecture decision records and pairing sessions with your team. Our contracts contain no clause that makes leaving difficult.
Support & aftercare
Yes, under a retainer covering monitoring, security patching, SLA-backed incident response and a monthly allowance of enhancement work.
After a paid audit that establishes the risk profile. Occasionally that audit concludes stabilisation work is needed before a support SLA would be honest.
Fifteen minutes for critical incidents on 24/7 cover, with a four-hour median resolution time on severity-1 issues across supported systems.
